Now we can look for great deals and discounts sitting in the comfort of our homes. This article is an attempt to compile the best sites that one can use in India for bargain shopping.

SNAPDEAL.COM - The site is the first one to sell discount coupons (referred as deals) in a big way in India.

SOSASTA.COM - A great site in elaboration with 'Groupon'.

DEALIVORE.COM, DEALSANDYOU.COM, MYDALA.COM are few others that deserve a look.

FREECHARGE.IN - The website promises a free recharge of your mobile phone. Lets say, if a customer purchases recharges his mobile phone with Rs200, he gets discount coupons of equal value.

For example, I recharged my mobile with Rs 50. I got one MCDONALDS coupon of Rs50 that enabled me get a free MCVEGGIE burger/ French Fries/ Coke with a purchase of Rs 50 - free recharge !!

Of course for your recharge to be free, you have to use the coupon.

FLIPKART.COM - The site offers discounts on almost all the books ranging from 10 to 40 percent. Delivery is prompt. Cash on Deliver feature is also available.

INDIAPLAZA.COM - This site too offers discounts on purchase of books and some other stuff.

I did something interesting when I purchased a book from India plaza. I recharged my phone with rs 100 from freecharge.in. I got a coupon of Rs 100 that entitled me to a discount on purchase of Rs 199 or higher at Indiaplaza.com. I purchased a book that costed 250 and was available at a discount of 10% on the website. My net payment was (250-10% discount-100 discount coupon) = Rs 125 only !!

WAY2SMS.COM , INDYAROCKS.COM - Both these websites allow users to send SMS to their friends without any cost. All that you need to do is 'register'.

BOOKMYSHOW.COM - If you have a 'Visa' debit card, the site offers a free ticket on every ticket purchased.
